On to conference play.
Glad these tough out of conference games are over. Why make the schedule so tough to start the season? Schedule some teams we can beat, like we used to.

I really thought this was going to be the year the Bears made it to the playoffs. Can't stop anyone.

I didn't see the game, I listened to as much as I could via The Creek. Did it look as bad as it sounded?

Guys, it was a general comment about spending the money on something else. In fact I got a phone call from MU ticket sales asking me if I wanted to buy more tickets this year due to several seats opening up adjacent to mine. I have sat in the same seats since the beginning and finding room to spread out has never been a problem. let's face it. MU was owned on Saturday night. Riddle threw the ball 47 times and we averaged 6.1 yards per completion. We ran the ball 37 times and average 1.4 yards per carry. I will admit David Durden is a beast. However, after the opening kickoff return we picked up 3 yards on 3 plays and had to settle for a field goal. We ran the ball twice in the 3rd quarter trying to pick up 1 yard and we lost 2 or 3 yards and turned the ball over on downs. When we had the ball on 3rd and long on several occasions during the game we ran 20-30 yard routes rather than 10-15 yard routes to pick up the first down. If we did run a 10-15 yard route it was only 1 receiver running that route. I thought this year maybe the turning point year and MU makes the playoffs, but I am afraid that the coaches got it right when the picked us to be middle of the pack again. So you're giving up on the season when the Bears are 1-0 in conference play?

I have been a season ticket holder since day one. I am seriously thinking about putting that money each year in my pocket and taking a nice vacation each year instead. Where are you going on $400 vacations? Warner Robbins? Warner Robins is nice this time of year.

I don't see Furman beating VA Tech. I also think Tennerssee shows up and beats the Mocs by more than a few points. GA Tech takes care of The Citadel, barely. Mercer kicks APSU. WCU loses. Sam beats Wof in the battle of the fords. VMI loses to ETSU.
Not enough info to power rank the teams yet.

I'm a little worried about this one.
Could the Bears be looking past APSU?

Would have preferred a home game, maybe they got future considerations for a return game. Should give them another game to prepare for Furman and the rest of SoCon.

Nice win!
Off this great victory, I feel confident that the Bears will be 10-0 heading into the North Carolina game. Anything less is unacceptable.

Very interesting.
Not sure if I agree though.

It was a good game.
The FBS bowl games, other than playoffs, are just exhibition games now. Some teams care, some don't.

How did they get Szabados out of Ohio ? Seems so odd. Not complaining just curious.
