Rough game. Furman's got some offensive woes.
First game that really looked a lot like the 2014 Paladins. Defense is good, but you still gotta hold onto the football and put some points on the board to beat people. Not sure that is going to improve much for us as the season goes on.
That said, UTC's a pretty good team. Not sure what they are going to do once Huseman graduates. Guy is one of the better offensive players that has come through this league in some time.

Furman got off to a good start. Then after the dropped TD pass, everything seemed to fall apart. It was almost as if they thought they needed everything to go right to beat UTC but when they saw a dropped TD pass, they decided, "why bother"? |

Furman got off to a good start. Then after the dropped TD pass, everything seemed to fall apart. It was almost as if they thought they needed everything to go right to beat UTC but when they saw a dropped TD pass, they decided, "why bother"? It has been a season of mistakes and poor execution. Team has been talented enough to overcome those mistakes much of the season, but eventually they will come back and bite you. In either event, it is just one game. Makes the margin for error a little less, though. |
