MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University men's and women's basketball programs have announced their annual Mercer Madness will be on Friday, Oct. 16 at 8:30 p.m. The event will take place in Hawkins Arena.
The event is for Mercer students and is free of charge. There will be free pizza and donuts, along with a free t-shirt giveaway to all who attend. There will also be a raffle held for students to win prizes throughout the evening.
Fans will compete with players and staff members in games for prizes while celebrating the start to the 2015-16 basketball season. Mercer Madness will be the students' first opportunity to meet all the members of the men's and women's teams for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
Another popular event that will take place at Mercer Madness will be the annual dunk contest, as members of the team compete to earn the title of Mercer's best dunker.
