The suspensions are really hurting at this point. I'm actually amazed at how close we have played teams without those two.

I agree, the team has really shown they can compete without 2 key starters -- that's amazing! The Bears efforts are not going unnoticed. I hope Ringer and Lewis can come back by tourney time. I also hope Fishler and Ney are doing OK. Ney has been out a few games, and Fishler looked injured in the Wofford game.

Lack of depth is killing us in the second half

And Croon has almost half of FU's points.

We've established that there's a lot of talent on this team for the future, but this season hinges on Lewis and Ringer coming back. It hurts seeing teams like Wofford and Furman get to play against Mercer with only 2-of-5 opening day starters on the floor.

Another thing, we can expect Furman to take a significant dip next year without Croone. I don't see how anyone could argue differently, unless they have a really special recruiting class.

Furman's program (in my view) has seemed to make a turn. Croone is a big part of that. Coach Medved is a big part of that. For the first time in his career Croone really seemed to have the supporting cast around him. I expect we will turn the reigns over to Devin Sibley next year, who is a fast and talented guard in his own right. We've brought in a some talented recruiting classes, and played a number of true freshmen this season. I expect we'll be fine.
