I just caught my breath after all of that madness! Obviously, they need to calibrate their algorithms to account for SoCon officiating.

Tennessee Tech beating Eastern Kentucky in OT is good for the Bears. Right?

Do the Refs feel like they have to make it exciting? That was a bad call to give Mercer an opportunity to tie/win the game they would have already won, if it weren't for other AWFUL calls. Make up call? Even if in their unconscience?

Why does Mercer have to play against the refs every week!!! NOBODY TOUCHED HIM!!! I watched the phantom offensive pass interference call that negated #84s TD. The call is even worse than I thought. The sideline ref throws the flag on the TE in the middle of the field. On end zone replay, Mercer's TE runs 10 yards and then cuts to the right. The VMI DB jumps in front of the TE with both arms extended and practically hugs Mercer's TE. All contact is initiated by the VMI DB. And the play was 20 yards away from the TD catch and run. And was 30 yards away from the ref who had no angle to see the penalty. Just bizarre.

Just bizarre. -7 points -7 for Mercer AND... 84 yard penalty (0 YL to the -16YL) +25 yards for VMI (took possession at the 50 vs. the 25 (their avg starting position after KO) So...Net 109 yard penalty against Mercer 109 yards = essentially a TD for the penalized Team's opponent. So...effectively, a 2 TD penalty against Mercer THAT was a BIG, nay, HUGE Penalty!!!!
