I think it's completely likely there is a FUBeAR sighting. I can guarantee a BDMU sighting. FUBeAR WILL be in The Scenic City next Saturday, Lord willing. Heard Ursus will be in attendance as well. Just hoping Mercer can stay on the field with those guys and keep the margin under triple digits. From what I'm reading, the Chattanooga fans are really more interested in the exciting Woffy @ WCU matchup this week than they are this walkover game with the Bears. It seems Chattanooga is mostly focused on winning their SoCon Championship Showdown with The Citadel next week in Charleston; their only 'big game left in the SoCon,' so that they can be 10-0 when they roll into Tuscaloosa to upset the prospective FBS National Champions. Can't blame them. It's not like Mercer has ever presented much of a challenge to them in the past 2 seasons. You know, they are ranked #3 in the FCS and that's just too much talent for a still-in-start-up-mode Mercer team to even think about having ANY success against. My goodness, they have already routed Shorter, Presbyterian, and the new SoCon Powerhouse, ETSU! Add those impressive wins to a 1-score win over an 0-5 Team and they are clearly a Juggernaut, like none ever seen before. I heard that Coach Huesman has already contacted Coach Swinney from Clemson to get the specifics on the rules they used to shorten the quarters in their rout of SC State, so that they'll be ready to offer them up after the 1st quarter on Saturday...maybe before the game. I hope Coach Lamb will do the smart thing and work on trying to find a way to beat WCU the following Sat. instead of wasting any time this week trying to do the impossible. In fact, he may want to start working on the Auburn and Alabama games in 2017 - Mercer certainly has better chances of success in those match-ups. |

I get it, so ONE PERSON = ALL MOCS. (and yes, I read all the same board you do, so I knew which comment you were referring to) Good to know I can pick and choose anything you (or any other Mercer fan) says and correlate it to the entire program. Personally, I think you and Milktruck need to meet up this weekend...two SoCon old lineman ought to be for some good stories...y'all can both come over to the Big Shoe Crew tailgate if you like. I love FUBears posts in this thread.. and mixed in with the jokes is one very good point. UTC's schedule is looking softer by the day. Shorter can be thrown out, obviously. Presby got destroyed by non-D1 Florida Tech. So they're out. ETSU is, well, ETSU. They're out. Furman is at their lowest point since Mercer restarted football. They're out. And Samford looks like a solid win.
Mercer kept it within 7 points two years ago, and of course beat UTC last year when UTC had the identical #3 ranking. It's all too perfect. Go Bears!!!

We are going to ride Chattanooga like a state fair mule. You might even want to lower your ACT requirements to a 16 composite, so you can have more future fry flippers attempting to keep Mercer from the end zone.
