So...Here are the projected returning players by position...I've BOLDED the ones that I saw get significant playing time this season and/or prior seasons. There may be others not bolded that played a lot, but I just didn't catch it. I've also removed 2 Players that are listed as R-JR's on Mercer's roster, but 'walked' on Sr. Day this year, so are not expected to return.
Who wants to take a crack at it 1st? Ursus?

I'm gonna get a little more detailed into this, but to me, these are the locks to start or rotate and play a ton.
Marchman - LT Yates - RG Ward - WR Curtis - WR Irvin - WR Walker - TE
Kithcart/Barrett - NG Buehler - DE Bennett - ILB Coneway - ILB Bailey - OLB Trammell - OLB (Unless he has to play RB) James/Lott - CB Jackson/Houzah - CB
Nixon - LS Fisher - K
Everything else is up for grabs. Hell, I'm sure some of these are up for grabs, but that's my initial gut reaction.

Here's my take. This is based on a template the Falcons have on their website. Might end up with some transfers/signees filling in at some of these spots, but best I could come up with. OffensePosition | First | Second |
---|
WR | Marquise Irvin | Chandler Curtis | LT | Jake Flath | Alex Comer | LG | Thomas Marchman | Mitch Mathes | C | Levi Seabolt | Conner Krieger | RG | Austin Sanders | Stanley Smith | RT | Caleb Yates | Dawson Ellis | TE | Chris Ellington | Sam Walker | WR | Avery Ward | Kelby Brock | QB | Kaelan Riley | Tanner Brumby | RB | Tee Mitchell | Harrison Poole | H-Back | Chase Westfall | Trey Peppers |
DefensePosition | First | Second |
---|
DE | Isaiah Buehler | Austin Wysor | NG | Dorian Kithcart | Austin Barrett | DE | Jalen Penn | Destin Guillen | Jack | Kyle Williams | Kyle Trammell | Mike | Lee Bennett | Sidney Otiwu | Will | Will Coneway | Jonathan Ward | Sam | Travonte Easley | Ahmad Arnold | CB | Jeremy James | Kam Lott | CB | Stephen Houzah | Eric Jackson | S | Malique Fleming | Seth Hattaway | S | LeMarkus Bailey | Brandon Coney |
I think Cole will handle kickoffs and Orr will punt.

I think Cole will handle kickoffs and Orr will punt. WOWZA!!! - Ursus droppin' bombs, and maybe some knowledge, on MUBearDown! I've added some info and bolded some of the "bombs." That's a lot of shake-up on O, Ursus, particularly in the O-Line. What do the good peeps out there in MUBearDownLand think?

He'll be along in a few weeks or so to welcome you himself, I'm sure. A little more stability (more "chalk" I might say) to your projection that Ursus' take and another possible confirmation of the return of Tee Mitchell in 2017. I like that...a lot. Interesting stuff.

Welcome to MUBearDown, RT! Looking forward to your future participation. I'm assuming based on your handle that you played some line at some point. That is good news for the board, because former linemen are smart.
Except for FUBeAR.

It's more of a suggestion as to what I think would be best considering our losses and current players. Never know what might happen.

Hey see the projections but were is mr. Lakes in some of these, also we typically run a 3 WR set, so i doubt #13 will be backing up #8, #86 play behind #8. Think the HBack is special formation set not SLU set.

I have absolutely no inside or even outside knowledge of this, but #27 just finished his R-Jr year (his 4th year of college) and I'm assuming he was on track. So ostensibly he will be graduating this Spring. Is he coming back as a grad student if he does graduate? Has anyone heard? I guess I'm just thinking 5th years aren't always a given.

Most of the guys in the 2 deep will get playtime depending on situation/health.
