Yeah - saw that...and I was just about to send out the "Save the Date" notifications for the #7 (John Russ) Jersey Retirement Ceremony that I've been planning (in my head...and heart). Maybe they can do something like they do in horse racing and use "7A" Oh well...we'll see, I guess. |

Wouldn't put terribly much stock in it. A Furman recruit tweeted out his commitment wearing #13, which is already the number of one of our primary defensive players.
Mercer, I do not think, has names on their jerseys, so they may have just pulled off one from the rack and stuck it on him at his visit.
It won't happen, but I'd sort of prefer a program saying "we aren't going to let you take a photo in our game jersey because you have to earn the right to wear it."
