The good news is that Mercer continues to exceed expectations. You guys certainly have exceeded my expectations this season. I have to admit after you game today against Samford, your team is for real and I'm sure the team has gained a lot of respect from the rest of the SoCon. You've beat VMI and gave both Furman and Samford all they could handle. The Bears are looking good, when most of the SoCon is looking pretty bad this season, and a 2-6 record against the Big South is truly pitiful. |

I can't wait for the team to get another chance at Samford next year. Did anyone else notice that their band would play way too long? It would sometimes be playing while Mercer was clearly about to snap the ball. I also thought it was weird they had the band in premium seats on the 50 yard line! What are they thinking!? Plus, their announcers couldn't have acted any less interested in their own team (on SoCon Digital Network). All they could do was talk about other scores. I don't need to be kept up to date on everything FSU and Mississippi State are doing, haha.
I echo the statements of being proud of the Bears. I love the fact the Coach Lamb is never going to be happy with "playing well" or a close loss. He and the team are here to win, and they will be doing that consistently in this league!

On a side note, someone needs to tell Samford that Elon is no longer in the SoCon despite the PA's repeated attemps to keep them in with his SoCon football score updates.  From our PA guy: |

Not a big deal just thought it was funny. I've noted that some of the ranking systems still have us in the PFL and one has us at 0-1 record. We had a great experience at Samford and everyone was really nice. The campus is beautiful! The only downside was not getting the W. I hope Mercer can return the hospitality next year. |
