Ugh. I really am proud of our guys. But I really am not interested of another week of articles about how scrappy we are and we're new and all that. Another winnable game as a 20+ point underdog. I'm not interested in moral victories. We gotta figure out how to finish on some of these.

I'm glad we won but got to give the bears and their coaches credit. Offensively that was a better performance than I could have possibly imagined. yall have more than a few good young players but Curtis was thw best skill player on the field and should be playing in the SEC.

Let's just go ahead and pencil in the Mercer Bears as Socon champs next year, seriously. Nobody has made our defense look that embarrassing in all the years I've worked there.

Lol. I appreciate the kind words Mocs Eye. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. You guys did just drop 550 on us.
I will say I thought the game plan to deal with y'alls DLine was great because you are nasty good up front.

Oh you mean the game plan you guys had that will now be passed around the Socon like the Holy Grail for the rest of the year? I'd say that was brilliant to say the least. Coach Belichek, I mean Coach Lamb outcoached us like no one else! Russ hits that pass in the back corner of the endzone in the 4th and its tie game, OT and probably a different result. Well, filming practice next week should be fun. So much for practices being over by 5:30 this week!

Very Proud of the Mercer Bears today! They executed and they only had 1 T/O and 2 penalties. Had the oppty to beat a very good football team in their house. MOST IMPORTANTLY, once again, I could tell that the Players EXPECTED to WIN and the Coaches Coached to WIN the game. I was worried they might have lost that expectation....but I am he of little faith. Those l'il BEARS refuse to be mentally defeated!! If they executed in the previous 3 SoCon losses as they did today, those are 1 or 2 score wins for the Bears and we're hoping someone can beat Chatt. 2x, so we can win the SoCon and 'back into' the Playoffs. Would have liked a few more yards rushing, but I think with 440 yards of total offense, ANYONE would be hard-pressed to say Mercer's O-Line is suffering from "growing pains." I'm willing to bet that ANY SoCon team would be THRILLED to put 400+ yards on that D. Just couldn't quite get over the hump. But...you know what...I know about 100 Bears that will be EXPECTING to WIN next Saturday! GO BEARS!! MAUL 'EM!!!
