The 26th Annual USA College Football FCS Preseason All-Americans are presented by American Football Networks. With over 12,500 student-athletes competing on the gridiron for 125 programs, USA College Football recognizes just the top 4% of the returning players with their 1st Team, 2nd Team, and Honorable Mention selections. The 1st Team of 170 players recognizes the top 1%.

I'm happy for everyone on the list, but it does make me scratch my head a bit to see the LB selection given that Tyler Ward had 104 tackles in 2014 versus 57 for Kyle Williams. Not to take anything away from Kyle and hope he is an All-American MVP this year, but what does it take for Tyler to get some recognition?

Not sure this is the best attempt at an FCS honor roll.

Ward is a good player. He has certainly demonstrated he is one of the better linebackers in the conference and a guy Mercer relies on to play sideline to sideline.
