What are some changes you think are necessary in order for this team to see the success that we all want for next year. ( personnel , schemes, discipline, structure, etc.)

We need a new qb next year, and will have one. Unfortunately I agree. And by new I mean one of two things... 1) A renewed J. Russ that gets over his sophomore slump and uses it to work hard so that next year he is much more mature and doesn't overthrow every open receiver. 2) A new qb. Also, can we get some freaking receivers in here; once Palmer went down we didn't have a passing game at all. I am also looking forward to reinforcing an o-line that I thought did very well. Lastly, and this is controllable, I thought we had a lot of dumb penalties and I would really like to see us clean up that side of the game before Chandler Curtis transfers because he has 9,000 yards erased do to pointless holding calls.

We need better offensive linemans that can block defensive linemans in the SoCon. We also need a better defensive scheme to handle the triple option.

No new QB, hope Coach Lamb will open up the qb competition next spring, you got a redshirt QB that will be ready, and a is better passer (do your research),JR has had 2 yrs, this gets harder and as we drop the cupcake teams,, do agree OL got to get bigger but the defense by the stats has saved us this season Coach K well with what he has.

We need better offensive linemans that can block defensive linemans in the SoCon. We also need a better defensive scheme to handle the triple option. The option is a hard offense to defend. Frankly, Mercer already has a guy at head coach that has seen the triple option as much as any coach in Division 1 football. Lamb has seen the triple option offense at least twice, sometimes even three times, every season since he became a head coach in 2002. He knows how to scheme it, IMO.

I agree Bobby Lamb is the right coach, but you know what they say "its not the Xs and Os its the Jimmys and Joes" to win today you better be able to recruit talent.

It shouldn't take a half or to get down by 4 TDs before adjustments are made against the triple option.(Wofford,Citadel)

First of all, everyone remember this is our 2nd year playing games and we have only one class brought in on scholarships, right?
I think we all want the team to be successful, but let's try to maintain a tiny bit of perspective.
Also, I mentioned it in the rules and regs, but please don't single out individual players or call them by name if you are going to be critical or insulting. Especially if you are talking about who should play over who. That smells a lot like an agenda.
Overall criticism is fine, or discussing areas we can get better. But these guys are not professionals. The represent our school, and they work hard and I don't want this to turn into a place where people are going after individual players.
Thanks much. Go Bears!

I would like to see the team improve at safety, specifically some guys who can accelerate quickly. that kind of safety can allow linebackers to play closer to the line of scrimmage and force offenses to audible a lot more. Hope we look at converting a couple of our Rbs to defensive players because they could have the right amount of size/speed to be taught the scheme and perform while supporting the returning secondary members.
