The only piece unresolved is Stetson at home either 9/12 or 9/26 with the other date a bye.

A-P/Chatt game/game date is not official as neither school has announced and I saw some 'chatter' that A-P was 'backing out' of the game. Just updated previous post with schedule - Per Hattiesburg American on 12/20/14, Southern Miss AD confirmed game in Hattiesburg with Austin Peay on 9/12/15...so that means Chatt game could be on 9/12 in addition to 11/7 NOW official that Chatt won't be playing A-P on 9/12 as USM released their schedule today - Southern Miss Football Schedule 2015USM to play Austin Peay

I think this also means the only date left for Samford at Mercer is November 21. If as FUbeAR states that 9/5, 9/12 & 9/26 are not available for Samford. I updated the posting above to reflect this, but I'm still not 100% certain that it's accurate - pulling this info from Samford's message board and the poster is relying on certain dates being announced as Family Weekend and Homecoming, so therefore Home Games. Those things, IMHO, are subject to be moved around...so still not 100%

The only piece unresolved is Stetson at home either 9/12 or 9/26 with the other date a bye. Dang it....Stetson released their schedule last year on 1/24/14. This 'puzzle' would be complete (with almost 100% certainty) if they would release their schedule. Game with Mercer last year was 9/12 - hope it's 9/13 this year - that would mean a bye on 9/26, so 2 weeks to work on defending the option before the little dogs from sparkle city come to Maconga on 10/3 to open Mercer's SoCon schedule.

WCU is playing at UT and at Texas A&M. Ouch. WCU has made a bit of a habit of playing multiple FBS programs per year. Frankly, with their schedule it helps the bottom line but hurts their playoff chances. If you assume two FBS losses (not guaranteed, but likely) and a non-D1 game (Mars Hill), WCU will have to win 7 of their 8 games against FCS competition (if you assume they are not the autobid). No small task. On the other end, I'm sure they will bring in close to $1mm in revenue from those two games. So, that doesn't necessarily hurt. WCU will bring in a little over 1 million for those two games. From my understanding, we are still trying to get out of a hole that our old AD dug for us. Mark those two SEC games down as certain L's, and a W vs Mars Hill. that leaves Presbyterian and our SoCon slate. I think Presby is set to take a thumpin in the whee this year. To be playoff eligible we can only lose 1 SoCon game. It'll be tough, but I think we can do it. I'll go ahead and mark @utc as the lone L, even though I don't think that is a given. That means we have to win @wc, @the Citadel, and @vmi. With your bears, FU, and Sammy in the whee. I agree, not a small task, but it's doable. We were close last year, just a bad 1st half vs Sammy and 1 bad play vs PC. I think the SoCon will get 2-3 teams in the playoffs this year. Good luck on your upcoming season, except for 10/10. I hope ya'll enjoy God's country!!!

Here is what I think we know based on other schools: 9/5 @ Austin Peay 9/12 Stetson or bye 9/19 @ TN Tech 9/26 Stetson or bye 10/3 Wofford 10/10 @ WCU 10/17 ETSU 10/24 VMI 10/31 @ Citadel 11/7 UTC 11/14 @ Furman 11/21 Samford
Someone said that they had some "inside" information that Stetson is 9/12 and the bye week is 9/26, but I have not seen any confirmation. This is all still UNOFFICIAL.

A) 11 schools have released official schedules showing games against Mercer on specific dates. B) The NCAA will not allow Mercer to play 12 games in 2015... 1) ...unless they go play @ Hawaii, but... 2) ...Mercer does not have an available date on Hawaii's available dates C) none of the 11 teams that have said they are playing Mercer show the game with Mercer on 9/26. So....I think anyone could pretty well conclude that what bear38 has listed is an accurate schedule. I'll still look forward to the OFFICIAL release by Mercer though. I'm envisioning the OFFICIAL announcement to be made by a squadron of armed/armored (can't let anyone stop BearNation) freight-carrying-drones delivering a billboard with Mercer's Football schedule on it to the actual set of ESPN SportsCenter and planting it behind the anchors during a prime-time broadcast. Can you see it?

Must be something big cause I'm not sure what they are waiting for to release the schedule. But I've been very impressed with the Mercer media efforts to date, so I will give them some slack here.
