4 Teams ahead of the Bears in the P&P PP lost and 3 DNP, so I would expect a big move UP for our Bears after thrashing an FCS OOC opponent. Not really....The Top 12 will shuffle around a bit and the Bears will hold on to their #13 spot, 1 spot below the pre-season rank of #12...with the only losses coming by a TOTAL of 8 points to the #4 & #8 Teams in the Poll. WCU could move up as high as #4 this week. Win on Sat. and I bet Mercer will CATAPULT back up into that #12 spot the following week. GO BEARS! MAUL 'EM!!

Whoa look at Jacksonville! Are they serious?? Well, it is a composite of 32 Ranking systems. Jacksonville is 5-1 with their only loss to FBS team SE La. in the first game of the season. They handily beat 4-1 San Diego 33-18. Their highest ranking is 10 and the lowest is 88. Jacksonville has the third highest standard deviation which means there is a wide difference in the 32 rankings for them. They are heavily favored to win the rest of their games and represent the PFL in the playoffs. I think they have earned some "props" although it is difficult to say exactly how much. (Kinda like Mercer).

As expected, Mercer jumped all the way up to "No Change"
Palmetto & Pine Sports Network Power Poll: Week 7 Posted on October 14, 2014 by FlamesNation This weekly poll is a ranking of all the Atlantic Sun, Big South, and Southern Conference members who field FCS football teams. We have also included Campbell, Jacksonville, and Stetson who all play football in the Pioneer League. Here is this week’s P&P Sports Football Power Poll as voted on by our members. Note: first place votes are in parenthesis.
1. Coastal Carolina (7-0) | Big South…………………186 (10) 2. Chattanooga (3-3) | Southern…………………………164 3. Charleston Southern (5-1) | Big South…………158 (1) 4. Liberty (4-3) | Big South…………………………………..148 5. ...WCU up to #6 though....so a highly unlikely win over The Cats this weekend should keep the, then 6-2, Bears from dropping below Campbell in next week's poll
