If I were not a Mercer fan, I would swap #2 and #3. Then I'd swap #4 & #5. Then I'd put my 'new #5,' #6, and #7 all tied at #5. If you 'forced' me to break out just one of those 3 that I would then have tied at #5, I would, reluctantly, drop El Cid down to #7, but I would not break the 2-way tie I would then have at #5, no matter how much you twisted my arm. I would leave #1 & #8 where they are. Other than those few changes, I think they are spot on. :-)

It is about as useful as any other "power poll" that comes out in the preseason. I'm not sure you are going to be able to contain the insanity at the Telegraph when Samford plays at Mercer this year. Mercer AND Chris Hatcher?!? Same game?!?

How can this be a "power poll", when it's the imagination of just one sports writer? Have you ever looked at other Power Polls? They are all the imagination of a sports writer. Not true. When a "power" listing is published from the imagination of just one person, it is legitimately labeled a "power ranking". A poll, by it's very nature, is voted on by a group of participants ( everywhere except at the Telegraph).

In mathematical terms a 'set' CAN have only 1 element (member). So, by the transitive property of equality, a "group" can also have only 1 member. So, again, by the transitive property of equality, a "poll" CAN also have only 1 member. MATHED!Besides, you don't know that the person, whose byline this article was published under, does not have a hundred people that he calls to provide their input into the published Power Poll. I know he calls me, beardownmu, and bear38 preseason & each week for our input. Perhaps, if you would actually register on this site, he would add you to the Poll.

I know you have to have the last word, even when you have to reply with nonsense. So, have at it.

If he is the sole participant in this "poll", it's not a poll, it's a personal "power ranking". I can't help if CBS is once again providing misleading information and packaging it as "news". So, yes - the Telegraph and CBS are misleading with they provide poll results, that is not derived from a poll. It seems that you and FuBear are very similar, both of you MUST have the last word, I'm still waiting on his input, even with you know your arguments are absurd.

I wasn't trying to have the last word. Just challenging the validity of your statement. It's a message board, bro. Doesn't make a lot of sense if people don't keep talking.
