This should not be close

Mercer looks very small at the skill positions. VMI's receivers just out physicalled/outjumped their secondary. Our backs should run at will

I like all these. I believe they are 100% true and I hope The Citadel players and coaches are in lockstep agreement with these assessments. I'm not even sure Luggage Toters should start their 1's. Just play the 2's right from the jump.

I can assure you that those comments came from the idiots on our board...we have a few of them like everyone else. I can also assure you our coach Mike Houston has the team totally focused on this weekend's game. We know that Mercer is in the lap of Football Recruiting and is loading up and no one at El Cid, except the 2 idiots on our board, is taking a Bobby Lamb coached team lightly. Based upon what I've seen so far you are one season away from contending for hardware in the SoCon, not to shabby. ETSU is about 8 years away from doing that at their pace.

Close doesnt get you the "W" Keep feeling good about being close and the program will never be grabbing any hardware.

Correcting a Bellhop makes me feel good since I have been 'hating' them for 37 years.

Losing, if I am involved/invested in any way, certainly does not make me feel good. In fact, I have very deep emotional 'issues' around winning & losing for which I probably should have long ago sought counseling. The funny thing is that I know about 100 of my former teammates, who like me, possess much SoCon Championship "Hardware" (I am the overly proud possessor of 5 SoCon Football Championship Rings) and almost all of those teammates share my same 'sickness.' This collective mentality/personality disorder, much more than talent as football players/coaches, enabled the SoCon teams I was associated with to win those 5 championships and beat South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and NC State (in consecutive years). Coach Lamb was one of those players. I continue to believe that he shares my 'disorder' and I hope that he and Mercer will continue to recruit ONLY Football Players and hire ONLY Coaches that are so afflicted. I know the vast majority of players on Mercer's 2013 10-2 Team had the 'disease.' It's hard for me to diagnose if the majority of Mercer's current players do. Although it is a 'curse,' I hope they do and I hope they are so angry and miserable right now that I won't have any difficulty seeing that 'character flaw' in the final 4 games of 2015.

IMHO, there IS enough football talent on this roster to win each of these upcoming games and to have won every game that has been lost this year and enough talent on the rosters of the prior 2 years to have won all of those games, with the exception of San Diego in 2013. (Yes - I know the scores of the Wofford game in 2014 and the Marist game in 2013. I stand by my belief despite those outcomes.)
