Well, we get down in the red zone and stall out. Said that too many times. Kick a FG and it's 14-13 Citadel No 38 on that last series. Is he hurt?

We score and miss the two point conversion. 21-19 Citadel.
And once again we find ourselves at the end of the game with exactly zero time outs. This half we used a time out on offense on a 1st and 10 coming out of a turnover. On defense on 2nd and goal from the two and they punched it in on the very next play, and ahead of a 2 point conversion everyone on earth knew was coming since we were down 8 that whole drive.
So, if we don't get a 3 and out here, the game is over.

First down Citadel. That's it. They'll go victory here. A 2 point loss and another close one ends up in the L column. $U^#$BW%UYJ)(FJOQ# T$GJ(_J(Q# $GJ(_J(_J(W

So, if we don't get a 3 and out here, the game is over. Another game with bad management of time outs. Maybe the suggestion of an Offensive Coordinator who can call plays is a good idea. The current system doesn't work. There is just too much disorganization and panic. Happens almost every game. The HC has to be the calming influence out there and step in on the big plays. It's just not happening. Why Mercer thinks they can go conservative up 10-0 in the first half is beyond me. You've got keep the pedal down full throttle. Obviously the play of the game is Citadel's 83 yard TD with a minute and change to go in the first half. Mecer's defense sells out on 3 and short to get the ball back. No safety. So Citdel gets a huge momentum boost and the lead at halftime ] This is sad

I agree with MUfan, I expect this from a rookie HC but not a seasoned HC.

There's some of that, but players have to make plays and execute at their positions as well. It's a group effort.

Nothing said on the broadcast, I'm just going by what I saw on the replay. Listen to the Radio Broadcasters!

There's some of that, but players have to make plays and execute at their positions as well. It's a group effort. How about this staff time management issues? Every game MU uses their timeouts early in the second half leaving them none or one near the end of the game..and all these close losses MU really could of used a few more time outs. That is on the coaching staff. Seems like many timeouts come due to confusion on the field. I rather take a 5 yard delay of game penalty on offense early in the third then waste a time out. I see the players standing around waiting for the play..then getting to the line an not enough time to run the play.....or even change the play.

But that isn't the only reason we didn't win the game.

But that isn't the only reason we didn't win the game. I have noticed that Russ seems to have difficulty looking for all his options and locks into the hot read. Often there are other receivers open that he just isn't seeing. Do you find this to be a fair criticism?
