Can't believe it is almost over, but here we are in the last week of the season. Please, please, please tell everyone you know that they need to be at the stadium this weekend and to get to their seats EARLY to show our gratitude and respect for the first large class of players that will not be returning next year. They came here on little more than a promise and a chance to be a part of something special and have all helped build a pretty darn good football program so far. They deserve to be recognized and for everyone to be in their seats.
Furman's Senior Day was Saturday and it honestly looked like there were 500 people in the stands when they walked out on the field. I DO NOT want that to happen at Mercer. Please spread the word to arrive early and cheer often.
Also, we can get into the game itself. Samford is hard to figure. They have lost to teams we've beaten and beaten teams we lost to. Their Sr. QB actually had a season ending injury, but their backup QB, Devlin Hodges, has picked up right where Eubank left off and throws it all over the field. Our secondary and pass rush are going to have to be on point on Saturday if we want to close with a momentum continuing victory.
