That is a great article and very exciting to see how well MU is recruiting. These are the types of reads that need to be out there! Go Bears! Now get them ALL signed. Verbals dont mean much these days.

Verbals dont mean much these days. An overwhelming majority of these guys stay committed I think. The "flippers" are much further and far between than with the big schools. It happens, though. The SoCon is pretty compact regionally and now have a lot of schools that are looking for the same type of student athlete. Given the influx of programs at this level and the desire to try to land the same type of player from the same region, I imagine recruiting is going to get highly competitive. Maybe you see more flipping.

The great news is MU is getting a lot of positive remarks about MU recruiters and that bodes well for this staff. Facilites need to continue to improve as well to entice more 3 stars to come MU way.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the facilities. They are the gem of the SoCon right now.

Facilities are great for sure..... but as the program improves so must the facilties. I said "continue" not "have to" big differecne. If MU wants to attract and sign 3 stars then things at MU need to not stand still.

Mercer has a brand new everything with respect to the football team. It's not a huge stadium, but Mercer does not have a big fan base. What exactly would you have different?

I'd much rather have a relatively full stadium the size of ours than what I saw at The Citadel in their larger stadium.

Regarding facilities, you should never stop improving,. Recruiting is so competitive and facilities are a way to differentiate yourself. You're never really done.
