For those in here who have a lot more background about MU these last 3 years....will MU have a deeper team next year where these close games they lost this year become W's? Depth I know is a key. If these 4 three stars stay committed and MU adds even more talent then that would be exciting. What is an early take on 2016?

Personal opinion - every SoCon team will be roughly as good, and probably better. UTC will take a step back because they are losing their best player. WCU is in the same boat. Everyone else should return a lot of their core contributors. 3. Way too early prediction: ETSU will finish last.

Was more looking for MU outlook as far as the team and players coming back and in. Can this MU team make a run at the conference title in 2016? Will they have a lot more depth? Will these 3 star recuits have immediate impact? You know who your conference foes are and OOC (Ga Tech for one) games so the schedule is almost set anyway.

I think it's clear that Mercer will contend for the title next year. They arguably contended for it this year, as they almost won every conference game except the finale (which they did have a 2nd half lead in!). So with the added recruiting class, redshirted players that sat out this year, and getting up to the full allotment of scholarships -- I say absolutely that Mercer is in the title race. The only team to beat to Chattanooga. A 2 point loss to The Citadel. A 3 point loss to Western Carolina. That's your top 3 teams. I can't wait for next season!

Without being too off the wall, I think everyone not named ETSU will be a contender for the title next season. Some games got out of hand, but most SoCon contests this year top to bottom were hotly contested.

I think it's pretty clear that Mercer will open with wins over The Citadel and Georgia Tech, then run the table except for a 10 OT regular season game with FU that is declared a tie after the officials are too exhausted to continue. With a 10-0-1 regular season record and a bye in the FCS Playoffs, the Bears then run off 3 wins before they face FU in the National Championship Game...which, amazingly, is a repeat of their regular season match-up. This time, after 20 OT periods, the game remains tied; so, the NCAA steps in and declares both teams as FCS National Champions. So 13-0-2, SoCon Champs & FCS National Champs.
So let it be written...

I think FUBeAR is gonna pull for FU as much as MU in the future. Can't say I blame him though.

I believe its a good possibility as long they put the best players on the field. And recognize missmatches open up offence quit playing not to lose and play to WIN!! There is alot of atheletes on the team wasnt giving a opportunity.
