I think it's great PR for Mercer...and I don't think it was an upset at all. Mercer has had the capability to win the SoCon the past 2 years and I expect them to win it in 2016. For those that might interpret this comment as 'shoulda won it,' that's NOT what I'm saying - depth, maturity, breaks, a mistake here-and-there, etc. just did not go/be the way the Bears needed them to go/be for them to win it. Capability means 'coulda,' not 'shoulda.' It's really, really hard to win football games at any level and the SoCon is a VERY competitive Conference. |
