Any news with any SoCon teams and COA for Athletics? I would be surprised if any Southern Conference team paid for COA except for Basketball. However, if any school stepped out on the wild side and did it for football, it would be Mercer. The Mercer Atheletic dept is on the cutting edge. For example, best social media in FCS and note the first D-1 school to put recruits on billboards.

if MU wants to step out from the other FCS schools then they should indeed offer COA....

A $300,000 check each year might do it. But then what do you do about other sports? Maybe make that a $600,000 check each year.

All MU sports should see some benefit of COA, but Football has to be a majority....lets face it Football at most schools is the king.

can't do football without covering an equal number of women's COA.

Correct but COA can be spread out with football receiving highest amounts per.
