Seeing on Twitter that Jim Cole announced Jestin Lewis and Desmond Ringer are both suspended indefinitely from basketball activities. Clarified some and said they are not related to NCAA rules or the Jibri Bryan situation. Not good.

I'm obviously very interested to hear what the reason was, and for how long.

Both players were out there with the team today on the bench. I don't know if that is only so they could participate in Jibri's day, or what the deal is. Maybe they will continue to sit on the bench until they are possibly cleared to come back to the team? A big story for sure that needs a lot of answers. The good news is the team still rallied to a monster win for Jibri .

Could be for not attending class or something like that.

Could have used Lewis and Ringer last night. But then again, Fish stepped up big time.

Since they are still on the bench during the UTC game, that should rule out anything too terrible as the cause for suspension. Let's hope they are back soon. The rest of the team has proven capable, but it just stretches the depth so far that everyone must have been gassed by the end of regulation... let alone overtime.

Any word on the suspensions? I guess they have decided to keep the whole affair private but the fans would love to know what is going on. Especially now that we have dropped 2 in a row.

It would surprise me that you will ever hear anything official from anyone beyond water cooler talk.
The two players clearly have not been sent home. They appear to be traveling with the team. I imagine Furman would prepare to see both of them and then adjust accordingly.

For some reason I thought I had read differently on here. Even though Jackal edited his post above and removed yet another of his many slurs directed at The Telegraph, which implied that he was a more reliable source for news than Macon's daily newspaper, which has their offices (essentially) on Mercer's campus and a deep partnership with Mercer's Center for Collaborative Journalism; I thought I would post this update from today's Telegraph. Mercer men look to snap two-game losing streak at Furman"Mercer once will again be without starters Jestin Lewis and Desmond Ringer"

Whatever they did or failed to do must have been more serious than I was thinking. The integrity of MU is more important that winning a few games. I will always support the administration in these cases.

Tough news, but no one is bigger than the team or university. Without knowing what was done, it's hard to comment on it any further than that.
