Early on the Bucs are scoring off turnovers and mistakes. The Bucs have minimal ability to score in a set half court. Bears had a 17-0 run to jump back into the game after a rough start. Bears leading 25-23! I like our chances!!!

Mercer trailing 35-37 at the half. I'd say the keys to the game are clear:
- ETSU has an obscene amount of blocks
- ETSU scoring majority of their points on run outs and bad turnovers
- ETSU is 10/10 from the FT line
If any of those categories aren't maxed out like they are, it's a Mercer lead. Can ETSU really keep all that up for another 20 minutes? Let's hope not...

ETSU is always barking over Deuce Bello's dunks... but the two dunks I've seen today by Lawrence Brown (alley oop on an inbound) and Phil Leonard just throwing it down were thunderous!

It's not looking good down the stretch. This team has really fought hard these past 10 games under tremendous stress.

Hopefully the coaches can impress upon the team that if you do stupid sh!t off the court then you get the results of the last part of the season. And next year we will not have these issues.

I'd imagine every sports team on Mercer's campus has had that talk. If they haven't, it's overdue. I'm glad Mercer stuck to their principles. Sadly Lewis has to move on from Mercer as he was a senior. Desmond Ringer will be a Junior next year, so we'll see what happens with his fate. We've all been there on many levels in life...We all do things we wish we didn't. Actions have consequences. It's as simple as that. I hope he can come back next year better than ever. |
