The championship of the 2016 Women's tournament is today. #1 Mercer and #2 Chattanooga... so no surprises there. Both teams split the regular season with lopsided wins by nearly identical scores! Mercer romped UTC 67-44 in Macon, and then UTC returned the favor by beating the Bears 67-45 in Chattanooga. So what in the world is going to happen on a neutral floor? 4 OT's?

Six 3's for Chattanooga through a quarter and a half. Which they never do. Ugh. They average 4.4 made 3's per game and they have 6 in 15 minutes.  |

Bears off to a 12-2 run to start the 4th quarter. It's a 1 point game with 4 1/2 minutes left in the game.

If it makes you guys feel any better (it probably won't) the Lady Mocs have been in 17 SoCon title games...and won all 17 of them. If the LMs are going to get knocked out, you need to get them early.
Only 1 senior between the two squads, next year ought to be really exciting between these two teams. The beating Mercer put on Chattanooga in Macon was the largest I have seen in over 15 years in SoCon play. Best of luck to the Bears in the WNIT, hopefully you guys will host a game or two.
