The 2nd game of the season is going to be a huge step up in competition from the 1st. We know what Mercer has accomplished in the past, so I know they have a chance to win any game on the schedule. Let's hope we add another power school to the list of Bear victories!
Florida has played one game so far, and demolished our old rival Florida Gulf Coast by 21. There were some promising stats from that game though:
- Florida only won the rebound battle by 3 over FGCU.
- Florida was a horrendous 4/15 from 3-point range (27%)
On the reverse of that:
- Florida only turned it over 7 times. Must value the basketball and every possession against them.
- UF also had 9 blocks! Either they have big size, or FGCU is small. I'll lean toward the Gators having size.
