What Mercer Players do y'all think should be on, or real close to on, this list, but are not?
BTW - I don't believe the TE from VMI, Swingle, is playing in 2017.
Here's a few Bears I think merit serious All-SoCon consideration. Not a comprehensive list, BTW, so I know I am not naming some good ones...
Thomas Marchman, OT
Avery Ward, WR
Chandler Curtis, WR, RS (if fully healthy)
Alex Lakes, RB (if fully healthy)
Tee Mitchell, RB
Sam Walker, TE
Cole Fisher, PK
Isaiah Buehler, DL
Austin Barrett, DL
Dorian Kithcart, DL
Lee Bennett, LB
Yes? No? Who else?

How can Will Coneway not be on this list ? Keep in mind. Will had very limited playing time.
All Conference Freshman Team
1st in TFL- 10.0
2nd in Sacks- 4.5
2nd in PBU- 5
6th on team in TT- 51

All Conference Freshman Team 1st in TFL- 10.0 2nd in Sacks- 4.5 2nd in PBU- 5 6th on team in TT- 51 Good one to add - He will need to make a lot of 'noise' early in 2017 to attract the attention of the SoCon pundits. Always a lot of very good LB's in the league. |

Cole Fisher should be a STRONG candidate. With 8 more field goals (44,47,47,49,50 longer than ETSU kicker), 28 more total pts, 34 of 34 pats. Leader in fgs(16)/kick scoring SoCon last year (4th overall total scoring).
Im beginning to think some have not realized that Mercer is in the SoCon!

I agree @steelwill23 that Will Coneway should be on the socon list. How can you not consider he will be a impact player on the defense this year in 2017.

With another great season he should get recognition more pre and post season awards. Since this is only first team: Thomas Marchman Marquise Irvin Tee Mitchell Lee Bennett Isaiah Buehler If we were doing 2nd team: Avery Ward Chandler Curtis David May Eric Jackson LeMarkus Bailey Will Coneway Probably won't get than many in preseason, but if we have a great season I could see it. Also I have no clue about special teams, but Cole has been good. |

I think our offensive weapons are underrated since we have seldom had them all on the field together the last 2 years.
Defense is youngish so I expect to see more at the end of the season.
