AGS (Any Given Saturday) is the primary National Message Board focused on FCS Football. The owner(s) of this Board have run a pre-season, weekly, and post-season Poll for many years. While there may be some measure of regional bias to this poll (more MVFC, CAA, and Big Sky voters), the 100 (or so) voters, collectively, are FAR more knowledgeable about the entire spectrum of FCS Football than any of the other “Polls.” Those polls are usually compiled by a few sportswriters that, for the most part, are only studying their local Team & their opponents. Also, unlike purely computer generated rankings, these voters consider Players lost & returning, Coaching changes, and any other roster issues that are outside the scope of the 0’s & 1’s-only Rankings. So, while we may not agree with it, this Ranking is as good as any other Poll and far better than most. Here’s what AGS Posters/Voters think...

I have bolded the 4 Teams listed that Mercer will face this year. Memphis will, most likely, be ranked in FBS Polls. So, about 1/2 of the schedule is vs. ranked Teams. Not an easy road at all.
BTW...here is the FUBeAR FCS Composite Rankings 1-124, with Mercer opponents bolded. I expect to move Mercer from #38 to a Top 5 slot after the Bears upset Memphis.
