All - I just learned the ‘owner’ of this site, MAJOR Mercer Bears Supporter & Fan, BearDownMU, has had some pretty serious health issues recently.
He’s having surgery tomorrow, which will, hopefully, stabilize & resolve the issues.
If you’re a praying type, please do some of that good stuff, as I am & will be. If not a praying-type, please keep him in your thoughts.
He’s a tough old grizzly, so I’m confident he’ll be back in action before 9/1 & ready to celebrate Mercer’s 1st FBS win with us!!!

Still in ICU. Some improvement. CT Scan coming up on Mon. to assess status, I guess. Then, further treatment plan from there depending upon results, I would think. Please keep him in thoughts & your prayers. Really hoping he can get out of ICU & have a few visitors this coming week. Need to see that Bear...but I have no idea if that will be possible yet. |

I was able to visit with BDMU this afternoon. He is still in ICU, but doing much better, and may move to a regular room next week. He still has a lot of healing left ahead of him though. All things considered, he was in reasonably good spirits, but missing the heck out of being able to talk Mercer Football / Mercer Athletics / Mercer University here, live, and on a few other massage boards. Please keep his healing / recovery path in your hearts, minds, and prayers. |

BDMU moved from ICU to a ‘regular room’ yesterday while ursus & FUBeAR were there visiting. Great news!
Still a difficult journey ahead, but he was ‘growling’ a good bit yesterday, so we are all very encouraged!
