For FuBear, did you say something about Adams bailing for his senior year? Tyrie Adams Making, Chasing History
With his very next play, perhaps, Western Carolina quarterback Tyrie Adams could become the program's career leader in total offense. Currently at 9,389 total yards, Adams trails Catamount great Troy Mitchell's mark of 9,397 by just eight yards. Adams, upon taking over that record, will move into the top five in Southern Conference history, setting himself up for a run at an all-time top three of Devlin Hodges, Armanti Edwards and Scott Riddle. Furthermore, rare national company is very much within reach. Fewer than two dozen players, ever, in the FCS have compiled 12,000 offensive yards, a milestone Adams needs 2,611 more yards to hit; he had 3,423 yards last fall. A banner season could result in Adams passing the likes of current San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and finishing in the top ten in FCS history in total offensive yards. Adams, already, is one of the most dynamic talents in all of college football. Just one FBS quarterback matched his 2,400-yard passing and 1,000-yard rushing minimums from a year ago and that individual, Kyler Murray, won the Heisman Trophy and may very well be the number one overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Proficient and productive, Adams just completed nearly 63% of his passes and averaged over five yards per rush. www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2019?division=D1

Don’t count your kitties before they purr, Cat Fan. Lord willin’, FUBeAR will be in Cullowhee on 8/31 to see, live & in person, who lines up at QB for your Catamounts. BTW, IF he does play for WCU in 2019, with just about the entire OL from last year graduating, he may accumulate so many negative yards in sacks/negative plays in WCU’s 1st 2 games, that 8 yards may be in doubt until WCU plays a D2 Team in Game 3...IF he makes it to Game 3...which FUBeAR certainly hopes that he would because... A) FUBeAR HATES to see ANY young man injured & B) FUBeAR loves to watch Mr. Adams play. BTW2 - Thanks for the link to a list of basketball transfers. Very interesting. I know y’all will miss Yalim Olcay & Maurice Smith next year. Either of them ‘tight’ with Mr. Adams? I see Mr. Smith is headed to Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. Their Football Team was 7-3 last year & that would be a lot closer to home for Mr. Adams. They are D2, so if Mr. Adams joined the Fire, he would probably face some Teams that he’s familiar with, given WCU’s recent OOC schedules.
