Hello everyone. FUBEAR, thanks for the comments. The Administration, Athletic Department and Foundation, and all at MU are certainly working hard to put Mercer on the game day map within the conference and beyond. The huge new score/video board is tremendous. MU fans should look forward to seeing the Bears dominate the screen. For Georgia Southern, it would be interesting to add them as a FBS opponent. The road trip would be fun and the game well attended, plus the Bears would get a check and increased visibility for in-state recruiting. Not in Macon and almost a guaranteed loss (although the Bears have played hard in FBS games), but a win-win in externals. Go Bears!

I hope Mercer Football NEVER lowers themselves to playing a game in StinkBurro & there is a huge difference in playing an FBS Team & playing a rag-tag glop of wannabe’s. “Guaranteed loss” my hindquarters! The Bears would stomp a mud hole in that horde of inbred charlatans!

Knowing they haven’t been able to offer Athletics Scholarships to their ‘18 & ‘19 Recruiting Classes, that means the SO’s, R-FR, and FR on that roster are non-schollie. So...looks like they have a max of 24 possible scholarship Players. None of the 3 QB’s that registered stats are on this year’s roster. They do have a Starting WR that was 1 for 2 passing last season for 29 yds & a TD...so maybe he’ll be their QB. Top 2 RB’s return & they had almost 1,000 yards between them, but only 2 TD’s & both averaged only 3.7 ypa 3 of the top 4 Receivers return, but their leading TD guy (7) is gone. He was also their KR & PR man. 2 is the max TD’s of any Returning Retriever. Punter...gone. Kicker...gone. On D, Top 2 Tacklers are back...and 6 of their top 11 return. Leading Sack man (5.5)...he gone. I counted 31 Returning 2018 Starts by OLmen out of a possible 50...so, not too bad there...about 3 OL Starters Returning. #65 6-0, 285 R-SR Center (10) #75 6-3, 255 R-SO RT (9) #51 6-1, 280 SO LG (9) ...are 28 of those 31 Starts. Looks like 1 DE & 1 DT Returning Starters So there’s your Ho’s breakdown...

Hello everyone. FUBEAR - no worries. The banter back and forth is always good. I wish more MU alumni and fans jumped in on here, it would be a hoot.
It looks like the hurricane has passed, weather should be fine for game day. Go Bears!
