...Bears by 16
Austin Peay at Mercer - Saturday, October 11, 2014 4:00 PM
Austin Peay +16
Mercer -16
Based on the lines for the Furman & Samford games - they were both favored by 20+ points, this prediction skeers me a bit.
Tell me, Bears Fans, why should I not be a-skeered?

Because the Bears are back in their den and 10K screaming fans want blood for dinner!

Because the Bears are back in their den and 10K screaming fans want blood for dinner! Plus, how can you lose to a team whose favorite cheer is "Let's-Go-Pee"!

This game scares me because I think people will look at AP's record and think it is a sure win. I think the Bears win because of home field advantage but think it will be much closer than the 16 point spread. Like 35-28

In all seriousness, however. It probably makes sense to be a little nervous.
If you just look at the Austin Peay results, your instinct is to probably assume the Bears walk all over them. However, it is probably worth noting that, to this point, here is who they have played and their Massey composite rankings
Memphis #40 FBS Chattanooga #21 FCS Eastern Illinois #40 FCS Illinois State #3 FCS Eastern Kentucky #13 FCS
Pretty brutal schedule, by all accounts.

Well....that's not helpful AT ALL! How 'bout..."C'mon FUBeAR, this APSU Team has only scored 3 TD's all year and much of the time were playing against those teams' backups."
