Yesterday, I attended my first game this season, and the game day improvements are great. It was the most welcomed I’ve felt returning to Mercer and there were many opportunities to enjoy the atmosphere. Some of my favorite “new” things (since I last attended a game):
1) Cole’s Corner is a really neat set-up. Nice view of the field and great people and food.
2) Alumni lunch at TobyTown was a nice touch
3) The concerts were nice (wish more people were there to actually see the artists)
4) The BearGarden has great beer from Macon Beer Company
5) The scoreboard is HUGE. Pictures don’t do it justice
All together, a really great game day experience. Wish the game could have went our way, but that is just part of it. The game day experience definitely motivated me to come back sooner rather than later. Hats off to the Athletic Department.
