Real quick.
I think the bye week helped. Felt like effort was much better today. Tyray Devezin is a beast. Had a huge day, including the coffin nail with that last 56 yard TD run.
I thought the defense played really well. A little squeaky at the end of the game, but solid against a great passer and great running back for VMI.
I thought our offensive play calling was more aggressive, which I love. The fake punt, forever now known as The Ellington (he had a TD on the same play as a freshman against Western Carolina) and some confident 4th down go-for-its.
The huge downside are the injuries. Have no idea the severity, but Coneway going out stinks and the Riddle injury was brutal. Thinking about those guys, particularly #10. Not a doctor and know nothing about it, but he's potentially having surgery as we speak, or pretty darn soon. Prayers for those guys and their families.
