Hate we lost Cronic but life goes on. I will keep an eye on Mercer, you guys on the rise with Cronic. I like the way he wins, the right way. He is a good coach but a better man.

Does Mercer have a good fame day environment? I would like to attend one of your games. Looks like you have nice stadium and facilities. Campus looks nice too.

I know I'm biased, but I think our gameday is great. I've been to a lot of FCS games and I feel like we do a pretty awesome job. I also think we typically, as a percentage filled, are close to the tops of the conference on attendance. It helps that we sold somewhere around 6500 season tickets in the first 24 hours they were made available when football came back. I've had mine since the beginning. But, check this out if you like. Unfortunately attendance has steadily slipped the past few years as high hopes were repeatedly dashed. I have a blast at the games, before, during and after. But it would be a whole lot more fun if so many ticket holders weren’t no shows week after week. We are hoping Coach C can help change that for us!! |

Attendance is down everywhere across virtually all of football. Even North Dakota State had 1/4 of their stadium empty for a national televised home playoff game against a conference rival last weekend. Attendance numbers in the SoCon specifically were hurt by the departures of Georgia Southern and App State. Both had marvelous home attendance and strong traveling contingents. GSU would routinely bring 5,000 fans to Greenville during their big rivalry games with Furman. |
