I care more about basketball but by the time the team got things going this year, other things consumed my attention.
I am looking forward to next year.

Are there no Mercer fans who survived the pandemic? I'll take this. The Bears will kick the Cats butts this year. I believe Oscar is a Cat of the Abilene Christian variety, not a Cullowhee Cat. I don’t believe the Bears are scheduled to play ACU in hoops this year, so unless you are divining a post-season tourney match-up, you’re saying the (new look) Football Bears are going to kick ACU in 5 Star Stadium on Halloween. While FUBeAR appreciates confidence & bravado, ACU does already have 1 game under their belts this Fall, a game in which they went into the 4th quarter tied with an FBS Team. And they led that game most of the 1st half. The Wildcats ended up on the losing end by 4, but with a 22 scholarship deficit, that’s still a fine showing. The Wildcats have 16 FBS transfers (out of 42 total transfers) on their roster. The Football Bears will have their hands full with these Wildcats. Just hope it doesn’t get too scary! |
