Good, spirited game bears! Good luck on the rest of your season! Nice looking facilities, and good support in the stands! Looks like Macon will be a tough place for years to come!

Of only...DAPs and turnovers. We'll get there. I know BL is frustrated tonight and will work hard to right the ship. Really tall order next week.

I made the trip, and was impressed with both your team and your facilities. For a team that is only 2 years into this football restart, you are well positioned to quickly become a quality SoCon team. WCU has really struggled for the past 10+ years, so don't let your expectations get ahead of realistic growth and goals. You guys will undoubtedly win some games and lose some games you didn't expect in the next season or two. I hate the term, but right now you need to understand it is a process, and that having 5 wins at this stage has much more to do with your schedule than anything else. Again, I am not knocking you - with Bobby Lamb at the helm, with the facilities and funding you have, and a location in talent-rich Georgia, give yourselves a couple of seasons to assess where you are. Eventually those penalties and turnovers turnaround.

I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know I made the short trip down to Macon from Fayetteville for the game. The Catamount Club was set up in a great location very close to the stadium, and all the Mercer fans and staff I encountered was very nice, and friendly to myself and the other Catamount fans I observed through out the day. You've got excellent football facilities and I very much enjoyed the environment Mercer fans have created. You guys are well on your way, and Bobby Lamb has done a nice job with your program. Regardless of your SoCon record at the end of the season, I think you guys can consider your first season as a SoCon member a success, I know it might not be the success you wanted in wins, but there so much that has to come together at the FCS scholarship level, and win in a conference like the SoCon, and Mercer is doing it right, and wins will come. In making the transition from non-scholarship to scholarship in one year, and immediately having to compete in a conference like the SoCon, I don't know how it could have been accomplished better than Mercer has done. Good Luck the rest of the season, and especially next week in Chattanooga. Go up early a day or two, and enjoy the scenic city, lots to do and see and restaurants to enjoy. PS - you guys are welcome anytime over on the Catamount Sports Forum. Next year, be sure to make the trip up to Cullowhee and enjoy the mountains and the best band in the land, the Pride of the Mountains.
