I was waiting for FUBeAR to create this post, but I got tired of waiting.
The Spartans beat the Bears twice this season. By a score of 81-68 in Greensboro on Jan. 27 and by three points in Macon, Ga., on Feb. 13.
Yes, it is tough to beat a team three times in a season (at least that is what I hear a lot, I don't actually have any statistics to back that up).
Bears are peaking at the right time. If Cummings gets out of his shooting slump and the teams' intensity stays high, we very will could win this.
But, dang, Miller will have to be stopped.
But Alvarez has been playing lights out, so UNCG will have to stop him to win.

While the “Beat X” / “That is all” threads / posts seem to have been effective for the Bears overall, they obviously did not sit entirely well with Mr. Cummings.
I think Clueless Fan changing it up is just the type of rally-action needed.

These mid majors are too often just stepping stones. I guess I really can’t blame the coaches. Maybe all jobs are stepping stones until you get to UNC, Dook, UK etc. |

I’m looking at all of the top scorers leaving the SoCon and the Bears have a good chance to win the title next year. Really disappointed Ayers jumped. ETSU lost everybody, UNCG will have to rebuild, Storm Murphy left Wofford, Furman lost a big man, West Carolina lost Halverson. Glisson, Alvarez and Haase form a good core but we need another scorer. The Juco kid is apparently a good defender and shooter but we need a guy who can get buckets and draw fouls. I thought we should pursue a top transfer but verbalcommits has us sniffing around the JUCOs again. DeVante Jones out of Coastal Carolina looks like a guy who could fit our team.
