Our great women's team just gets it done, year in and year out.
I feel like they often get shafted with their seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Two years ago they were a top 25 team but had to play Georgia in Athens. But almost won.
This year, they are a 16 seed which is insane.
"We knew we were going to play somebody great, didn't matter which seed a lot of 1-2-3 seeds. This is a year that is kind of wide open for a national champion. So we knew that no matter who we drew that it was going to be a great team," said head coach Susie Gardner. "We're not fearful, we're excited about the challenge. We understand the challenge. We're respectful of the challenge, but we're one of 64 teams."
Beat South Carolina! That is all!

Was in Athens to watch that one - Bulldogs height, size, and depth inside was just too much to overcome...and the Officials also were a lot to overcome, of course.
The mid-majors / FCS also, always have to defeat the Officials to beat the majors / FBS Teams.
Certainly not just/fair, but a fact of life in college athletics...unfortunately.
