I believe The Citadel suspended an OLman this year for several games for saying something similar about their play vs. Florida State.

Mercer is a (formerly) Baptist school as was my alma mater, so we tend to go in for the more literal interpretation of things. He didn't say your words, he said his..."TAKE GOOD PLAYERS OUT OF THE GAME" when talking about Chandler Curtis. I'll take him at his word(s) as to what he meant, rather than try to interpret his heart, by putting my own words in his mouth. |

FuBear, if you really believe that, I suggest you call your athletic department, discuss this with them, get them to file a complaint with the SoCon. Because if he did mean what YOU said, he could very well be suspended. Its time to put up or shut up IMO. You know what he really meant. You read nuances into his comments on the OL. I've alerted the Chattanooga PD and the TBI that a Conspiracy to commit Assault with Intent to do Grave Bodily Harm has been threatened and they will be attending the game & watching closely to ensure that nothing outside the NCAA rules occurs with regard to #13 in White. I hope no one is leaving the stadium in handcuffs on Saturday! |

I don't get an attempt to stir up controversy in what is going to be a first half blowout. This comment was obvious it is used all the time by coaches and it always means the same. Obviously if he wanted to hurt someone he wouldn't state it publicly. Your drawing attention to his oline comments is more perplexing considering they are facing the mismatch of the century. 42-7 Mocs.
