Well, if someone was going to save the day, #0 seems like the logical choice.

I think Mercer is a playoff-worthy team no matter what happens. WCU may go winless this year, but we are better than we have been in the past 3 seasons. I think both programs are going towards where each side want us to, you guys are just over the hump on getting wins now and Western has to figure that out.
Good luck the rest of the way.

I think Coach Bell has already made progress and it will continue to get better. WCU defense played hard today. Hope your fans over there stick it out. Good luck to you as well.

Mercer @ Western Carolina 3:30P WCU went a few steps backward against G-W and, despite demonstrating some timely opportunism against Chatt, still are not close to where they need to be or where they will be in the future. With their injuries & other factors in play, they won’t pick up win #1 this week. Mercer is playing well & smart in all phases. FUBeAR loved the 3-3-3 deep/2-man on the outside WR’s they used almost every play against Samford. Loved how they stayed with their plan & did what they had to do to win. It wasn’t perfect, but it was smart & it was enough. The O-Line & other blockers (Jokers & TE’s) are jelling, learning the timing & angles of the Cronic O, and should do nothing but improve with reps as the season progresses. QB can do what he needs to do & they have the RB’s & WR’s to distribute the ball, as needed. Cats will fight on Homecoming, but they are outmanned. Also, Coach Cronic is 0-1 vs. Coach Bell and owes a little payback for a 40 point pasting in 2018, which included WCU’s current QB throwing the ball, up by 40, late in the 4th quarter.Mercer 56 - WCU 356-3. If you watched the game, you know it was 10 points. With the #2 QB, the #4 center, and down 8 from the offensive line. If not for a couple pics the qb threw in the 4th quarter, Mercer loses.

No way FUBeAR kneels it out inside the 10 after the bolded above. Plus, with the -16.5 line, FUBeAR’s portfolio took a pretty big hit because of Coach Cronic’s exemplary ethics.

If not for us playing the worst game we've played all year, WCU loses by 4 touchdowns. Also, if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, I'd have a Merry Christmas every day.

So, he couldn’t have actually ‘given’ you “WCU +53.” But, FUBeAR hopes you were an astute enough investor to have recognized Coach Cronic’s unwaverable commitment to sportsmanship and, thus, heavily invested with risk-assessors who would have “given you WCU +16.5” and realized a solid ROI as Mercer, up 10, kneeled out the last minute inside the WCU 10 yard line.
