Hey Southern Pigskin. I appreciate your coverage of the SoCon. Sincerely. Just a friendly criticism. I'm sure the methodology is to ensure you get two clicks per person from every one of these posts, but it's kind of annoying and obvious. Why not just link to the poll instead of putting us through the "Here's our poll" link that takes us to a page and then the "Oh, actually, click here for the poll."

You think people are any more or less "informed" by his poll than they are from yours, mine, Southern Pigskin's or anyone else's?
Our Massey composite ranking has been higher than 3 teams in the conference the first 2 weeks of the season and we still sit above VMI today and yet we've been solidly in 7th or 8th on your poll since the season started. And moved down after we won and another team below us lost. I personally don't care, because it's one person's opinion. But it does seem a bit disingenuous to throw bombs at a poll when you are putting out opinions of your own simultaneously.

I don't get excited about any of this. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it.
I don't have a moral objection to an opinion poll. I would prefer that anyone doing one of these polls at least state a reason why. Make an argument.

Maybe so, but at least he has some class by not posting it on the WCU fan site. I see someone else may need one of these.....  Seriously, it will be a real boring board if only people that agree with you post here. I'm just trying to liven it up a little for you guys. However, if your admin doesn't like that, all he as to do is say the word, and I won't be back or he could just ban me, and I won't be back!!!!! See you again later in the week when the official weekly picks are announced. I'll be sure to post them..... Doesn't hurt my feelings at all that you have no class. And no need to ban you, it is great to see what other SoCon fans are really like. I had a great time at Samford, UTC, and Wofford last year and am sure the VMI fans were pretty cool as well, although I missed that game. |

It was one of their 2 annual "Reunion Days" (Homecoming-like-thing) and there was a good crowd. We tailgated with them on the Parade Ground and had a wonderful time! Parody - an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.
Parity - the state or condition of being equal, especially regarding status or pay.I didn't get it the 1st time (not surprised to see nonsensical writing from that kitty litter encrusted keyboard), but when he used it incorrectly the 2nd time, I figured it out. Also - more erroneous mewling from the character that only Ernst Stavro Blowfeld could love - calling TTU the worst team in the OVC. TTU's OVC Finishes last 5 years and so far this season... 2010 - 6th 4-4 2011 - 1st 6-2 Champions ( WCU has NEVER been Champions in 40 seasons of playing SoCon Football) 2012 - 8th 1-7 2013 - 7th 2-6 2014 - 5th 4-4 (including a win over #12 Ranked EKU) 2015 (YTD) - Tied for 2nd 0-0 Overall - 17-23 (.425) WCU's SoCon Finishes last 5 years and so far this season... 2010 - Last 1-7 2011 - Last 0-8 2012 - Last 0-8 2013 - Last 1-7 2014 - 3rd 5-2 (I believe 2014 must have been the "Year of the Blind Squirrel" on the Chinese Calendar  ) 2015 (YTD) Last 0-1 Overall - 7-33 (.212) Please don't ban him Admins....In order to follow the Bears to all but 1 game over the past 3 years I had to cut back somewhere, so I cancelled The Comedy Channel from my service. This guy (I guess) is better!!!  |

Nobody talking about 'running anyone off' or banning any poster, from what I've seen....other than from Gato de tonterías, his/herself. But...if you go over to the 'other guys'' board, you gotta be ready for the slings and arrows...as you, BDMU, and I know well. And, if you talk even a little smack (including the subtle variety), you gotta have very thick skin...as YOU well know & must have. |
