Nobody talking about 'running anyone off' or banning any poster, from what I've seen....other than from Gato de tonterías, his/herself. But...if you go over to the 'other guys'' board, you gotta be ready for the slings and arrows...as you, BDMU, and I know well. And, if you talk even a little smack (including the subtle variety), you gotta have very thick skin...as YOU well know & must have.  As a veteran poster of Georgia Southern's forum, I am not worried. You guys are softer than Stetson. Wow - FU wins just their 2nd game in the past 12 months by 1 point over one of the worst FBS teams in the country who was playing without its starting QB, starting Center, with their best WR/Returner going out on the opening kickoff, and that kicked their top RB off the team, who did not play either, off the team after the game....and suddenly you are 8 feet tall and bullet-proof, huh? Here's a tip you can use for the next drought between wins...tequila has the exact same effect. |

Well now you're just gonna go ahead and blaspheme right here in public, huh? Comparing yourself to SoConJohn is, as Sgt. Hulka said, WAYYYY out of line! SoConJohn could have the exact same PowerRankings as you do every week of the season and pick every game the exact same as you do - winner AND score....And I would still say your work is nonsense and highly respect his opinion. SoConJohn does his homework. He is a savant when it comes to historical knowledge of the SoCon. When he has an opinion, you can bet your scratching post that's he's done the research to form that opinion and he can explain the logic behind his opinion in great detail - probably citing high school timing and accuracy stats for both teams' backup Long Snappers, if he wanted to. You continue to manufacture feces in your brain and throw them up on the wall, hoping that your digested and egested opinions will form something interesting. Establish a history of using facts (more complex than the prior week's score) to inform your opinions, then express your opinions with information-based logic, then defend challenges to your opinions with additional information and/or elaboration on your logic...and THEN, maybe THEN, someone will respect the posts you put out there. I can make an argument for a number of teams at a number of different places. At the end of the day, you gotta win your football games and everyone's opinion sort of takes care of themselves. |
