A Mercer sports pod cast that talks about Georgia athletics for 10 minutes before they say one thing about Mercer's loss to the Bulldogs is simply too funny.
The guys discuss Georgia as "we" when talking about the Bulldogs, are they Mercer students or a Georgia Walmart fans? It's quite apparent that Georgia football is more important to them than Mercer football to these guys.

Ain't no "we" in Uga, but Mercer starts with "me." Perfectly 'inbounds' to talk about Uga/GT/Falcons/even GaSou & GaSt...but a MErcer podcast oughta leadoff with THE BEARS!

I can certainly understand that thinking, but Justin was fired up about that issue and gave the disclaimer that you could skip ahead. It was kind of a one time ordeal, in a sense... Not really sure why he pulled out the, "We."

True - he did say to skip ahead...and I tried to do that...but I can't seem to get SoundCloud to cooperate on my phone...possibly User Error (I'm old & therefore techno-illiterate), but I couldn't skip ahead and when I hit || (Pause) because I needed to take a call, I did not get a > Play button to resume. Just lettin' y'all know. I get SoundCloud is a pretty cool media format, but it ain't workin' so well for this old Bear trying to listen to your Podcasts.

I have heard of some schools that have had active programs to shame students from wearing t-shirts from other schools. Some have even had t-shirt exchange programs.
If you love UGa so much, why didn't you go there?
"We" should only be used when referring to Mercer if you are a Mercer student or an undergraduate alumnus.

Just curious as to the "source" of the "rumblings". If it is this site, you are only talking about ONE poster who after many counter arguments by the rest of us similar to the ones on your podcast, he actually changed his mind and agreed with the rest of us. But maybe you are referring to something else. Also, if Justin is admittedly napping during the games, not going to the games or watching UGA on TV instead of MU, just wondering how he forms his opinions? Does he watch the replays? Glad to know that Hayes is either at the games or watching and that he is live tweeting! Also, I know that The Music City Bowl is not the goal of the top teams, but to call it the Toilet Bowl seems a bit harsh. In a realatively short amount of time, it has grown and moved up the SEC bowl rankings. We are kinda fond of it in these parts. Thanks for the podcast. Always great to hear discussions about Mercer Football.

We are in the process of moving to iTunes instead of SoundCloud, so that may alleviate some of your problems. Thanks for the feedback!

If you love UGa so much, why didn't you go there? "We" should only be used when referring to Mercer if you are a Mercer student or an undergraduate alumnus. I stayed close to home due to my grandfather being diagnosed with brain cancer. UGA was my dream school but when tragedy strikes you choose family over that. He went to UGA so my family has a history at the school. But thank you for pointing that out. I try my best not to say we but when you have done it your whole life it's hard. So sorry for that. I love mercer and have attended every game and live tweeted for every game outside of 2 games total in the last 2 years. I love Mercer more than anything but I am allowed to have thoughts on a football team that I am a fan of. Mercer is my life now and I have embraced and I would rather be here than UGA but I do not have to stop cheering for a team that Mercer doesn't even play on the same level (FBS vs FCS) Lastly, we started this as a sports podcast not a mercer sports podcast. We were asked to cover more mercer sports so we transitioned to a mercer centric podcast but that does not stop us from discussing other teams and other topics in sports. I gave a disclaimer for the listener to skip. We have listeners outside of just Mercer fans. People that do care about UGA,FSU,NFL and other sports so we will continue to discuss other topics to try and please all listeners. I truly appreciate those who listen to our podcasts and hope you continue to do so. Sorry for the long message and I hope I answered any concerns or things that upset you all in this episode.

Always great to hear discussions about Mercer Football. I have gone to all but 2 homes games in the last couple years. I have watched all the games on the road except a couple when I couldn't get the feed to work. Also the one I "napped" during was after I had been out shooting photos from 7am to 4pm after being up til 2Am working on box scores for another job. I fell asleep watching the stream on my phone. I watch all the games and I am huge Mercer fan. I live tweet all the games for The Cluster. Hayes filled in when I went out of town for a birthday trip for a close friends and Hayes will fill in again for my birthday. But if you ever see the tweets coming out before the last game they have been me. I've been doing this for over a year now and I've live tweeted for the basketball games as well. During one game earlier this year, I took photos for the story, wrote the story, and live tweeted as my entire staff cancelled on me the day of the game. Trust me when I say this, I am 100% dedicated to Mercer and the football games.

Also the toilet bowl comment wasn't aimed at a particular bowl and if I did it was in a moment of being upset. Sorry to offend anyone about the bowl game. Any bowl is a good bowl. I was just naming off random things in a spur of the moment type thing. Again I apologize and will not do it again. Thanks for listening everyone.

I've just been listening to your podcasts since the WCU game where you said you napped through it. Then you missed Citadel and are missing UTC, that is 3 out five just since I've started listening. So I think the question is ligit even if you have a great answer for it. And maybe your watching replays etc. But if not, I think it is a ligit question about for instance in the Citadel game you said Mercer went conservative in 2nd quarter and that you thought play calling and execution were problems. I'm not disagreeing with your analysis, but you said you didn't watch the game.

It takes a whole lot more to offend me. Just thought it was a bit harsh. Nothing wrong with harsh. Lot's of great sportscasters say harsh stuff. But allow listeners to respond with different opinions. But don't apologize for that.

My apologies, I watched the replay of the game in its complete form on ESPN 3. Also it's been an issue all season with the conservative play calling. I meant I did not watch it live. Sorry for the confusion. Again thank you so much for being a constant listener.
