Sagarin has the Mocs a 6 point favorite. It would be even in Macon.

Down 29-12 with 7:00 left in the 1st. UTC hitting tons of 3's, including a bank shot. Mercer missing layups, getting in foul trouble, and Coach Hoffman taking a T. Let's turn this around!

Mercer clawed back in this game, down 38-28 at the half. All of that WITHOUT Jelk and Leonard. A lot of stress on the bench, and Strawberry delivered in a big way running the point.

UTC is running away with the game in the final 2 minutes. A great run by Mercer to bring it all the way back to 2 points. Mercer can absolutely beat this team, as the Bears were forced to go into the bench very early in the game.
Strawberry had a huge night with 24 points. He really kept us in it.
The biggest concerns on the box score are 17 turnovers and 4-18 on 3pt shots. Mercer did win the rebounding battle 36-34.
It was a killer to have Jelks on the bench early in the 1st half. UTC got a shot of adrenaline once they knew he wasn't coming back in for a while. That fueled their big 1st half run and it proved to be too much.
Great effort by the Bears overall to not fold though! Take out the frustrations of this game on Citadel this Saturday!!

Mercer lead 12-5 early, now it's 20-14 Chattanooga. They have a guy who's 5/5 from 3-point land. If that's what it takes, then you gotta tip your cap to them. Tuoyo (spelling?) for them is a top athlete. Fishler also proving he can hang with the big boys for us. He has 3 early blocks.

I feel good about only being down by 2 at the half. Too many easy drives to the basket by the Mocs are hurting us. Offensively we are looking good.
