"Archer quarterback Carter Peevy made a commitment Friday to the Mercer University football program and its new head coach, Drew Cronic. Peevy was previously committed to Lenoir-Rhyne, where Cronic was the coach before being hired at Mercer earlier this week. " As long as Cronic continues to bring in those Division II players, we will be ok, I'm sure they are better than those FCS caliber players that Lamb recruited.

How do you think this works? He just shows up on campus on Tuesday with a hip-ful of FCS players he's been recruiting for the last year just in case he made it through his season and got an FCS job? I'm sure he's communicating with the commits that CBL had been working for a year to try and get them to keep their commitments, but he still has to put a class together. And the early signing day is next week. We do need to have some kind of class. But since, based on your tone, you think he's handling this terribly, how exactly would you like to see him do it? Maybe he reads this and you can educate him.

This guy is a Kennesaw commit. But he's tweeting about getting a Mercer offer...

According to the press release he was the Gwinnett County TD Club QB of the year. That’s a big deal. And lots of times the difference between FCS and DII talent is the GPA or SAT. I’d be pretty sure Valdosta State would do well at football in the SoCon, but many of their players wouldn’t be able to hang at Mercer, Furman, Wofford, The Citadel or VMI academically.

Some kids do not have the exposure either. If you don’t do good running in your underwear it hurts you a lot. A lot of D2 guys can easily play up. I imagine we may have some guys currently on our team that can play up as well.

Also, look at that QB kid's tape. His release is just a tad long but he throws an accurate ball. And, holy smokes, to be that big, he sure does look like he can run. That's AAAAAAA competition he's playing against and I watched corners not being able to catch him a couple of times.

Just learned that Peavy also was the punter, averaging 35 yards per punt. Can be a punter if the quarterback role is too much for the kid
