You should reach out to Mercer and see about becoming their Social Media person. It was a little slack this year, but you are definitely on a roll since the change was made. Great work.
Side note. How do you all feel about these guys? A few have had several FCS/ FBS offers; some are under the radar. I don’t have a problem with it, seems like to me he is getting football players which is great! Just wondered everyone else’s opinion.

Just wondered everyone else’s opinion. Lol. I appreciate the compliment, but I don't think Mercer could afford me. Yeah, last year I was in the hospital most of the fall, so I wasn't on the boards at all. This year, I went to a lot of games, but it was just hard to get on here a ton because I think I was just frustrated a lot of the year. So far I feel OK. Once we get into signing day and these guys are inked, I will definitely try to do a little bit of a deeper dive on them. The reality is, I think it's really hard for a coach to come in mid-cycle and try to make a lot happen in such a short time. And, in a lot of scenarios, coachs are coming from FCS to FCS and have guys they've been recruiting all along. The reality is, CDC came from DII and probably just didn't have a ton of FCS type guys he's been talking to for a year or two. So, I'm confident, but the hard reality is this might be a "make do" year a little bit, as CDC is getting ready. I mean, he doesn't even have a full staff yet, so it's gotta be hard. But it does feel like he's hustling. One of the things I *like* about the fact that he was DII, is he knows about doing more with less, and probably pretty good at finding diamonds in the rough and developing the heck out of them. That's how you win 25 games in two years, I think. So, more to come on each guy once they get inked for sure.

Not slighting Cronic, who I think highly of, but success at D2 doesn't necessarily mean success at FCS. Coach Hatcher would be Exhibit A. He won a national title at Valdosta State and has been pretty much a .500 coach at three FCS stops.

Just wondered everyone else’s opinion. In my opinion, most FCS recruiting in this part of the country is sort of "six one way, half dozen the other." Very few truly elite talents are going to make their way past the bigger programs. Ideally, FCS teams want to try and find one or two diamonds in the rough - guys that are misfit for bigger programs usually because of some subjective measurable (too short, too slow, not big enough, etc), but are still very good football players. At bottom, though, it comes down to coaching. If most of your competitors are targeting the same type of players, the "difference" maker is coaching and development.

Now tell us about Coach Hatcher’s FCS Coaching experience before becoming an FCS Head Coach. Now tell us about Coach Cronic’s FCS Coaching experience before becoming an FCS Head Coach. HINT: 0 < 13

Every situation is different, whether it's DII to FCS, FCS to FCS, or FBS to FCS. Certainly you feel more comfortable that prior success will foreshadow future success. Sometimes it does. And sometimes it doesn't. Ultimately, the only real indicator is going to be winning games. Everything else between here and there is just speculation.

Just wanted to throw that grenade in to the discussion.

Sorta like getting a commit from a player. L-R Defensive Coordinator and former defensive coach from The Citadel joining the coaching staff.

Did anyone else notice Tyray Devezin entered his name in the transfer portal?
