I think if you are not receiving athletic aid, you do not have to submit a National Letter of Intent. So, if they fax in an NLI on Wednesday, they should be receiving some type of athletic aid.

You may want to check this info. The preferred walk ons sign something with the football/athletic dept. But I'm not sure if it is binding or a NLI.

Coach Lamb has been quoted as saying they are offering 15 scholarships this year. Now up to 17 signees. Maybe a few partials, but I thought they used up most of their partials with the upcoming Senior class who started with no athletic scholarships.

You may want to check this info. The preferred walk ons sign something with the football/athletic dept. But I'm not sure if it is binding or a NLI. They don't have to submit any contract paperwork. You often see them sitting down for a picture for the local paper at a "signing" but it's purely for celebratory reasons. Signing the NLI makes it so you can't transfer for 1 year and is binding. You can't require that of someone that isn't receiving anything from the university. www.athleticscholarships.net/2014/11/11/do-walk-ons-have-something-to-sign-on-signing-day.htmThis, for example, was an actual NLI.

Who did we not get that we expected, and where did they go?

Dorrius Rogers flipped to James Madison and Trevor Merritt flipped to Bethune Cookman.

And DL Behr Cooper was a late 'flip' from Presbyterian to Mercer. I found 2 additional Tweets tonight that I suspect are Pref'd walk-ons (an LB & a WR from GA - North Fulton/East Cobb kids) & ...and I think we might see another couple of 'signees;' transfers, perhaps...just a hunch.

Why the hell would someone pick Bethune Cookman over Mercer?

Does anyone know what happened to Jean-Luc Brown from Pace Academy in Atlanta? He looked like he was a go, but he wasn't on the final list.

You know I am all about the rating.....where is that? I rate this signing class an "I" for Incomplete. A) I think there will be a few more added. I know of 1 FBS transfer DB that I think will be announced & I have heard rumors about 2 others. B) They cannot be properly evaluated, anyway, until at the end of the 2018, at the earliest....end of 2020 for a full evaluation.
