Thanks for the data but I wasn't looking for that deep an evaluation of this year recruiting class.... just wanted to know their Rivals star rating on each. Is there a site that shows FCS recruiting clases? This was my response to your initial question: "I rate this signing class an "I" for Incomplete. A) I think there will be a few more added. I know of 1 FBS transfer DB that I think will be announced & I have heard rumors about 2 others. B) They cannot be properly evaluated, anyway, until at the end of the 2018, at the earliest....end of 2020 for a full evaluation."Doesn't seem too deep nor data intensive to me, but I guess that depends on the 'beholder.' Anyway...to answer your current question - yes - just go to 247Sports or Rivals and use their Recruit Search function. If you find the signee there, you will see their star rating, if any. If you don't find them listed at all, then they have 0 stars. 247Sports does accumulate and rank schools - mixing in FBS, FCS, and some D2's...which is also pretty easy to locate on their site. The 'problem' with this info (in addition to it being essentially meaningless) is that they often don't take the time to cross-reference the FCS signing classes with the players in their database and assign them to the proper school, IF they didn't 'know' about the Players' commitments ahead of time. So...you have meaningless data that is also highly inaccurate. Have fun with that!

Star rating do indeed have value. We dont need to get into that but I am sure you would welcome MU signing 13 3 stars over 13 1-2 stars. Problem is when the University you love ( not talking directly at you) does not sign many 5,4 or 3 stars then the star rating somehow has little valeu since you dont want to give it value since your school doesnt get any......

So you continue to BELIEVE & SAY despite the reams of DATA & FACTS in this very thread that PROVE otherwise. No worries though. You are in good company with another great fiction writer.

Actually, no. That's not what we've said at all. Tirelessly, we have pointed out that the rating services don't do a good job rating FCS players, and if someone they have rated suddenly commits to and FCS program, their rating either change, or disappear all together. How can one put any stock in the ratings when the system and the people controlling it have been proven time and time again to be irrevocably flawed.

But if a 3 star on rivals commits to MU then he's a 3 star and should be noted as such. Does it change just because he commits to FCS program?

As proof, look at one of the 3-star recruits that Western landed: 247sports.com/Player/Connell-Young-77853On this page, you can see where they wrote an article about Connell - "Western Carolina lands three-start back" (http://247sports.com/Bolt/Western-Carolina-lands-three-star-back--43339040). But when you look at the top of his 247sports page, because he signed with an FCS school he now seems to have "N/A" for his star-rating. So you would have to have the reference to his star-rating from BEFORE he signed with the FCS school.
