At least we've been there. The national championship game, win or lose - we were there. Other than Furman, who else in the SoCon can say that?

Come on, is that the best you've got? So who remains in the SoCon but Furman and Western that have made it to the Championship game?

I would suggest the the Salukis & the Catamounts re-enact the game in Charleston, in conjunction with a re-enactment of the Battle of Fort Sumter. They both originally happened about the same year, didn’t they? Hey, WCU could use last year’s Defense instead of the actual Players who played in that game. Although...that ‘18 WCU D would probably struggle to contain the ancient S. ILL players on O to ‘only’ 46 points. BTW - all of the millennials reading this board gave that meme usage 2 snaps up. It was lit....or something like that. Can’t help it if you Civil War vet types don’t get it.

Now, the Football program you support; their actual existence in the SoCon IS quite questionable.

Did you make him mad? He does hold a grudge. LOL

On the other hand, his still-decimated-from-a-late-dirty-hit ACL; Furman’s twisted-by-drunken-hooligans-clad-in-lavender-&-baby-poop-yellow goal post; and his Teammate’s/Brother’s battered, bloodied, hit-from-behind-with-a-deadly-weapon scarred face, are independent entities residing inside this persona. Those 3 have plenty of BEEF with the Cantamount horde and exceedingly long memories.

Those 3 have plenty of BEEF with the Cantamount horde and exceedingly long memories.....and I have what to do with any of those things? Nothing. It's kinda like some folks wanting me to pay reparations, when I never owned or purchased a slave of any color (nor did anyone in my family) and those wanting said reparations, were never slaves either. Be pissed off at the Catamount fans all you want. Seems to me who ever did those things, live rent free in your mind. Carry a grudge forever, it's your prerogative, but all that stuff is, as you call it, "ancient history". I don't condone bad behavior by any fans or players, including WCU fans. However, late hits are going to happen, I'm sure both Mercer and Furman players have made late hits that injured an opponent; that said, does make it right, but it happens in football at every level. Back in the day, taking down goal posts was the thing to do, so get over that one. Who ever hit your friend with what ever it was they used as a weapon, should have been arrested and paid the penalty the court imposed. I've got no beef with you, but if you want to be an ass to me because of things that happened to you and others that I and 99.9999% Catamount fans have nothing to do with or had any control over, seems to be your problem, not mine.

LOL - the persona of FUBeAR is an ethereal digital being. The swirl of thoughts, memories, and emotions encompassed by the complex components of this persona manifest in myriad mutations on many Message Boards. There is no central “you” that is the persona of FUBeAR. Such manifestations should be evaluated from that perspective.

This sentence tells me all I need to know about the author’s (lack of) knowledge about the Team s/he is ‘projecting.’ “Biggest Shoes to Fill: WR Marquise Irvin was the Bears top receiver in 2018 and will be missed in the passing game in 2019, especially without a clear cut starting quarterback.”
That said...I guess I should give them credit for accurately projecting the Cantamounts, assuming the pussycats can find a way to squeak by VMI again this year. 2019 NCAA Division I College Football Team Previews: Western Carolina Catamounts
“...the offense wont be able to get up with the points that the poor defense allows week after week. Another losing record is in store for the Catamounts.”
